What goes in a Unit?
This session will focus on designing a unit that is student-centered and teacher driven by being intentional with each part of the creation process. We will discuss what goes in a unit plan, how to support all students, what are good formative check-in points, and how to ensure students are ready for the type of unit assessment you are planning to give.
As the saying goes - "If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!" -Ben Franklin

You can work as a team or individually. Bring your standards, pacing guide, and materials from a unit. I suggest working on a unit that students struggle in or one that can set the tone for the school year.

In the teacher-centered Schoology Course, students are passive consumers of what the teacher presents. In the student-centered Schoology Courses, students are engaged in a variety of Schoology activities by collaborating, critical thinking, and creating. Encourage your students’ inquisitiveness and curiosity.  Show them you value their ideas and input by developing Schoology Courses that focus on an array of content-related interactive tasks.
